Milan keen on former Spain and Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui

Serie A giants Milan are currently said to be keeping tabs on the situation of former Real Madrid and Spain manager Julen Lopetegui.

The Rossoneri are currently expected to move on from Scudetto-winning boss Stefano Pioli. Antonio Conte has been linked with the role constantly in Italy, with English reports yesterday linking Graham Potter with the club.

Relevo have now reported about the Rossoneri’s interest in Lopetegui. It is stated that Lopetegui is currently at the top of Milan’s shortlist and they are seriously interested in the Spaniard, who has previously won the Europa League with Sevilla.

He is currently most liked by the Rossoneri board, who are keen on his ability to build winning projects. The ex-Spain boss is unemployed after his stint at Wolves in the Premier League, but he has rejected other offers from England and Saudi Arabia. Bayer Leverkusen could also become a potential option for him, but Milan are keen.
