Milan reach draft agreement for Julen Lopetegui

Serie A giants Milan have agreed on a draft agreement with Julen Lopetegui amidst fans’ protests.

According to a report by Daniele Longo, Milan have reached a draft agreement with Julen Lopetegui. Club CEO Gerry Cardinale led the contacts with the former Spanish National Team manager, making him the pole man to replace Stefano Pioli on the bench next season.

The draft agreement is a 3-year contract with a €4 million per season salary. However, the Rossoneri fanbases have made themselves vocal against the appointment of Julen Lopetegui. This has been a social media trending topic in the last 48 hours as Curva Sud clearly defined their position.

Milan have always been attentive to fans’ voices and it’s now up to the management to make a final call on their head coach for next season. The alternatives in line are Lille manager Paulo Fonseca and Royal Antwerp coach Mark Van Bommel.
