Milan still keen on Julen Lopetegui despite fans’ protest

Serie A giants Milan are still very much keen on making Julen Lopetegui their next manager despite protests from the club’s fans online.

Luca Bianchin has reported that Milan are ‘all in’ on Lopetegui, who is ready to sign a three-year deal with the Rossoneri while earning about €4 million per season. More meetings will take place shortly to understand if an agreement between the two parties can be reached quickly.

Despite Milan fans protesting, the club still want Lopetegui because his profile came through multiple filters. If the move doesn’t go through, Roberto de Zerbi is seen as an alternative and Paulo Fonseca could also be reconsidered for the role.

Lopetegui has put West Ham’s offer on hold for Milan and he believes that Milan can compete at the highest level with the resources on offer. And for now, it seems like Milan will go forward with him as the priority as the next manager.
