Milan striker Olivier Giroud is currently said to be nearing a move to the United Statesโ Major League Soccer.
Recent days have seen the Frenchman draw links with the MLS and La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TMW) today have reported that the rumours are indeed true. While Giroud will obviously make his final decision at the end of the campaign, but the chances of him heading to the MLS are increasing.
Talks between clubs and Giroudโs entourage have intensified. There is a possibility that the veteran could spend another season at Milan but it seems likely that he could end up in the MLS, with destinations likely to be New York or Los Angeles.
Milan are already keeping tabs on potential replacements for the striker, with RB Leipzigโs Benjamin Sesko seen as an option. Jonathan David is also a potential target and so is Feyenoordโs Santiago Gimenez. Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres is also someone that Milan are keeping tabs on.
