Serie A giants Napoli have four players on their shortlist to replace striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen seems likely to depart Napoli in the summer as his new contract has a release clause. La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that the money earned from Osimhenโs sale will be used to sign a new, established striker.
While the last few weeks will be vital for the sort of targets Napoli would look at depending on where they finish, but Aurelio de Laurentiis would still look at the best possible target. Jonathan David is liked by the club since last summer and Napoli have previously enquired about the Canada international.ย
But the name that they are most keen on is Bayer Leverkusenโs Victor Boniface. While Leverkusen see him as untransferrable, but Napoli will have enough funds to sit on the table and negotiate. Joshua Zirkzeeโs name is also on the shortlist but the Champions League will be an important factor in the race for him. Another name is Feyenoordโs Santiago Gimenez.
De Laurentiis and the clubโs higher-ups have already started looking at names.
