Napoli players and management clash after Torino debacle

Napoli players and management are at odds after the 3-0 defeat against Torino.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport via Calcio Napoli 24, Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri was seen angered over his team as he left his box in the stands midway through their Torino match and went to the changing rooms to confront the players later.

The Partenopei have endured tough times recently as they went from a formidable Scudetto-winning side to an inconsistent fragile outfit in less than a year. New manager Walter Mazzarri has barely been able to change things after Rudi Garcia’s sacking and he has recorded three victories and six losses from his first ten matches in charge of the club.

Antonio Sanabria, Nikola Vlasic and Alessandro Buongiorno were on point to drown the current Scudetto holders last night. Following the humiliating defeat, Napoli went down to 9th in the league standings and their title defence is virtually over now.

There was a tough confrontation noted between the coaching department and the players in the dressing room as pressure continues to mount on the team as a whole.
