Napoli set sights on Bologna central defender Sam Beukema

Napoli continue to search for defensive reinforcements ahead of next season as they have identified Bologna central defender Sam Beukema as a possible signing for the summer transfer window.

Tuttosport reports, via CalcioNapoli24, that the Partenopei have been quite impressed with the 25-year-old’s performances and will keep their tabs open for the Dutchman in the summer ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Since joining the Rossoblu for a fee of €9m from Dutch outfits AZ Alkmaar, Beukema has made a total of 19 appearances in the Serie A under coach Thiago Motta.

With his contract only expiring in the summer of 2027, it is expected that Napoli would have to offer a fee of at least €20m to open transfer talks with Bologna regarding the acquisition of the central defender in the summer market, which is almost double than what the Rossoblu paid six months ago, prior to the start of this year’s current season, to seal the 25-year-old Dutchman.
