Napoli to give up chase for Antonio Conte

Serie A giants Napoli seem to have given up their chase for Antonio Conte, who has been linked with a move to the club in recent weeks.

While it was reported recently that Conte has opened up to the possibility of managing Napoli, things seem to have changed now. Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, who are fairly close to the Partenopei, state that the club have now gone cold on their potential move for the Italian.

They state that Napoli will now look at some other names in their attempt to hire a new manager and they would make an announcement about the same when the season ends. The idea, it has been previously reported, is to respect Francesco Calzona’s presence as the interim boss.

Other names linked with the club are Stefano Pioli and Gian Piero Gasperini, with the current Milan boss likely to be offered a deal by Napoli when he gets sacked by the Rossoneri at the end of the season.
