Napoli working on move for Verona’s Cyril Ngonge

Napoli are doing work in the direction of signing Verona winger Cyril Ngonge.

The Partenopei seem likely to lose Piotr Zielinski in the summer to Inter, as the Pole leaves on a free transfer. While Lazar Samardzic seems set to arrive from Udinese, the club want more depth and quality in the wide areas, with Matteo Politano being linked with a move to the Middle East.

Sky Italia state that the Partenopei are interested in 23-year-old Ngonge and they want to sign him this month. Verona and Napoli are in contact over a potential for the Belgian, who was also a target for Fiorentina some days ago but that move hasn’t quite taken off.

Work is being done to find the right terms for a deal, an amount of around €12 million to €13 million likely to be how much Napoli may have to spend.

Ngonge is ideally a right winger but he can also play upfront, having impressed for the Gialloblu this season, with a tally of five goals and two assists.
