Napoli yet to make contact for Slovakia boss Francesco Calzona amidst Walter Mazzarri uncertainty

Serie A giants Napoli could be changing managers once again and it was reported that contact has been made for Slovakia boss Franceesco Calzona, but the news has been refuted.

CalcioNapoli24 state that despite Calzona being on good terms with both Luciano Spalletti and Maurizio Sarri, no contact has been made for the Italian. Despite rumours, no enquiries have beeen made for him either by the Partenopei. As of now, Calzona is fully focused on the Slovakia job even though reports stated that he could share responsibilities for club and country.

His future is uncertain at Slovakia though, as a decision on his new deal at the team will be made after the Euros, where Calzona has already played a role in the country’s qualification.

He has good ties with many at Napoli, but he is unlikely to be appointed the new boss, as Walter Mazzarri’s job is uncertain with Aurelio de Laurentiis looking for a quick change of fortunes.
