INEOS club Nice could be preparing to lose manager Francesco Farioli this summer, with a move to Ajax seemingly close now.
Ajax recently failed in pursuit to land Graham Potter and were previously linked with Erik ten Hag as well. But it seems as if they have shifted focus to another INEOS club.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Ajax have Farioli on their shortlist and positive contact has taken place between the two parties already. The move to Amsterdam is said to be close for Farioli, who worked with Roberto de Zerbi at Sassuolo in the Serie A.
Farioli is now said to be leading the race to become the next manager of the Dutch giants and the move could now be a firm possibility.
Ajax are currently fifth in the Eredivisie in what has been a truly horrific season for the club. They did play in the Conference League but were knocked out by Aston Villa.
