PIF to hold talks over buying stake in Milan

Public Investment Fund (PIF) are interested in buying a stake in Serie A giants Milan and are set to hold talks about it soon.

La Repubblica today have reported about PIF’s interest in the Rossoneri, stating that PIF will hold a meeting after the end of the Saudi Grand Prix, which starts later today and ends at the weekend. Representatives from PIF are already in Riyadh and they have already been granted exclusivity about buying a stake in the Rossoneri.

RedBird owner Gerry Cardinale is looking for more funds for a new stadium for Milan and a stake being bought by PIF could help in the financing of that. Multiple personalities in the game will be present in Jeddah and the expectation is that Milan will be at the centre of talks held by PIF by multiple other parties.

Interest from PIF has been reported in recent months but it does seem as if some progress is being made.
