A feisty clash is on the menu tonight as top-four challengers Milan and Lazio go head-to-head at the Stadio Olimpico to fight out one of the notable fixtures of the calendar.

Lazio will aim to get back to winning ways as they suffered a costly defeat in a six-pointer clash at the hands of Fiorentina in their last match. Despite drawing the first blood in the game through Luis Alberto in the 45-minute, the Biancocelesti could not find a grip as Michael Kayode and Giacomo Bonaventura inspired a second-half comeback win for the hosts. Maurizio Sarri’s men have already dealt the most losses amongst the top 10 in the division this campaign and will aim to muster a consistent run of performances from now. While Lazio are on course to salvage an Europa League spot at the end of the season but their expectations are still fixated on finishing in the top four of the pile.

Meanwhile, Milan come into this match on the back of a 1-1 stalemate with top-four chasing pack Atalanta. Rafael Leao opened the scoring early in the match just under three minutes from commencement. La Dea equalised the scores in the 42nd minute through a penalty strike by Teun Koopmeiners. The draw extended the Rossoneri’s winless run to three consecutive matches although that includes a 3-2 defeat on scoreline to Stade Rennes in the Europa League knockouts which they won on aggregate. Stefano Pioli’s men have little threat of having their third place usurped in the league standings as they have mustered a five-point lead over 4th-placed Bologna. They are just four points away from 2nd-placed Juventus and a long haul of positive results could help them potentially finish as runners-up of the Serie A this term.

Here are the predicted line-ups for the match according to La Repubblica:

Lazio (4-3-3): Provedel; Marusic, Romagnoli, Gila, Hysaj; Guendouzi, Cataldi, Luis Alberto; Felipe Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni.

Milan (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo Hernadez; Bennacer, Adli; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud.
