Roma plan to sell Diego Llorente in the summer

Serie A giants Roma are planning to sell Diego Llorente in the summer after signing him permanently soon.

Llorente is currently on loan from Leeds United and have an option to buy him permanently. La Repubblica (via RomaNews) report that the Spaniard is seen as one of the players who could yield the Friedkins some money that can be used to purchase more players in the summer.

Clubs are keen on the defender and there is a market out there for him, with an agreement in place with Leeds to sign him permanently for €5 million. By the summer, Roma have to earn €50 million from sales and Llorente will be one of the key names to help the club achieve that.

Roma have been impressed by his performances this season and while they had initially considered signing him on another loan deal, they have agreed to pay the fee to Leeds before the end of the season.
