The powers that be at Roma are preparing an imminent contract offer to head coach José Mourinho, who remains keen on staying at the club,
That’s according to Calciomercato, who have this evening provided a fresh insight into the future of the Portuguese tactician.
The subject of Mourinho’s plans beyond the summer has long taken its place centre stage in the headlines in Italy’s capital, ahead of the imminent expiration of his contract.
The two parties are widely understood to be keen to prolong their relationship, but Roma’s financial problems, to this point, have made as much a difficult operation.
If the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, though, then the Giallorossi brass are nevertheless readying one final push to keep hold of their head coach.
As per the aforementioned CM, Roma chief Dan Friedkin has come to the definitive decision to offer Mourinho a new contract.
The proposal in question will be centered around an initial one-year extension, with the option for a 2nd in the case of Champions League qualification being secured.
A slight increase in salary is also touted, with it now remaining to be seen whether Mourinho himself is amenable to such terms.
