Roma to make final push for Empoli midfielder Tommasso Baldanzi

Roma are eager to make one final push for Empoli star midfielder Tommasso Baldanzi ahead of the closure of the winter transfer window.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports, via ForzaRoma.info that Empoli have underwent a thorough evaluation of the squad and are unsure if the profile of the 20-year-old Italian international will suit the tactical style of newly appointed coach Davide Nicola.

In addition, whilst Empoli are on the verge of finalizing the acquisition of M’baye Niang from Turkish outfits Adana Demirspor, the Azzurri could potentially be open to offloading the young starlet as a replacement would be set to arrive shortly.

The Giallorossi would be prepared to offer an opening bid between the region of €10m-€12m plus add-ons in the event that they offload a few of unwanted players such as Andrea Belotti, Marash Kumbulla, Zeki Celik, and Renato Sanches, with very little time remaining in the winter market in order to get as close as possible to Empoli’s €15m price-tag.
