Roma working on major squad clear-out ahead of deadline day

With the closure of the winter transfer window swiftly coming underway, Roma are working persistently on the sales of numerous counterparts whom are no longer considered part of the Giallorossi’s future plans.

Sky Sport reports, via ForzaRomaInfo, that the capital club is set to part ways with central defender Marash Kumbulla, full-back Zeki Celik, central midfielder Renato Sanches, and forward Andrea Belotti.

As it stands, Torino express a great deal of interest in the young Albanian central defender as coach Ivan Juric has worked with Kumbulla throughout their time together at Verona.

In addition, Turkish giants Galatasaray are keen on acquiring the services of Celik, but the right-back shows no interest in returning to his home country.

Moreover, Belotti has no intentions to depart the Giallorossi despite a great deal of interest from Fiorentina and numerous suitors from Saudi.

Finally, it seems that the Portuguese midfielder will see out the remainder of his one-year loan deal with Roma as PSG have not found any club willing to pursue the former Lille play-maker, making it very difficult for the Giallorossi to terminate the loan prematurely.
