Roma’s Evan Ndicka safe after heart scare during Udinese game

Roma defender Evan Ndicka is now said to be safe and out of danger after a heart scare during the Serie A game against Udinese.

The clash against the Friulian outfit stopped around the 78th minute when Ndicka held his chest twice and collapsed on the pitch. The game was suspended and Roma boss Daniele de Rossi told the officials that the Giallorossi can’t play on and they accompanied the player to the hospital.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Ndicka is currently safe and it remains to be seen what exactly the issue was, even though it is certain that it was a heart problem. A defib isn’t said to have been required as the problem wasn’t hugely serious and he was admitted to the hospital under code yellow.

In the next few hours, it will be decided as to when the game would be played and whether it would be restarted altogether or if it would restarted from the point it was suspended.
