The next 30 days will determine Jose Mourinho’s future at Roma

The next 30 days are expected to be crucial regarding Jose Mourinho’s future at Roma.

Uncertainties remain about the Portuguese’s future at the club, with Roma yet to offer Mourinho a new deal despite the manager’s inclination towards signing a new contract. But it seems as if his future is yet to be decided.

Francesco Balzani has reported that the next 30 days will be vital for Mourinho, when it comes to whether he is offered a new deal or not. The prospect of a new deal now depends on the results and nothing will be taken for granted at all.

A defeat to Milan will be a problem, even though it would not lead to a sacking. It would only fuel the fire and if things don’t go right in the Europa League against Feyenoord, Mourinho could well be fighting for his immediate future at the club. Hence, Mourinho isn’t just fighting for the future but he is also fighting for the present.

If things go haywire for him, Daniele de Rossi will be an interim option but the club is keeping tabs on Raffaele Palladino and Vincenzo Montella, who are not expected to demand wholesale changes in the side.
