Tottenham Hotspur interested in Torino’s Alessandro Buongiorno

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the possibility of signing Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno.

The Italian has been linked with a host of clubs in Italy, with all three of Napoli, Inter and Juventus said to be keen on a summer move. But it seems as if Italian clubs aren’t the only ones interested in the left-footed defender.

Daniele Longo has reported that while Napoli are increasingly convinced about moving for Buongiorno, the move isn’t exactly going to be an easy one for the Partenopei. The likelihood is that an auction will be triggered in the market and Torino want more than €40 million to sell the Italian.

While Milan have held talks for the player in the past, there is concrete interest from Spurs that Napoli would have to deal with. Bayern Munich are also interested in the defender, but Napoli seem quite keen to execute a deal that could include players and attractive bonuses.

Aurelio de Laurentiis’ club see him as a key target for the summer but they would have to put forth some very convincing arguements, as Buongiorno is keen on playing in the Champions League next season.
