The CEO of Serie A giants Napoli, Aurelio de Laurentiis, could face a sanction from UEFA after his attack against a Sky journalist recently.
The story traces back to some days ago when De Laurentiis had abused Sky journalists and had denied them from speaking to him in the tunnel after a Napoli game. More recently, he got into a verbal altercation with another Sky personel after he denied them a chance to properly interview Matteo Politano, who was taken away from the spot.
Il Mattino state that De Laurentiis has been accused of violating UEFA rules and he violates the โbasic rules of good conduct, which is article 11.2.b in the UEFA rulebook. In cases like these, a monetary fine would be imposed on the Napoli CEO, with UEFA now investigating more about the situation and about what really happened.
The incident involving Politano took place on the eve of Napoliโs Champions League clash against Barcelona.
