Zlatan Ibrahimovic has issued his vote of confidence in manager Milan manager Stefano Pioli, as Antonio Conte continues to be linked with the Serie A giants.
Conte was linked with Milan earlier today, with La Repubblica having stated that the ex-Tottenham boss is the club’s priority next season even though a move could be difficult. The likelihood is that Pioli will leave the club at the end of this season.
Having said that, Ibrahimovic has given confidence to Pioli, stating that the Rossoneri are happy with him and his message was rather direct:Â
“He is our coach and we are happy with him”
It has been reported that Milan’s charge and interest in Conte is led by none other than Ibrahimovic himself, as the Swede’s prominence in the eyes of Gerry Cardinale and RedBird is quickly increasing. His word now carries a fair amount of weight at the club and he has a good relationship with Conte, which could prove vital.
