Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu destined to depart Nerazzurri; Chivuโ€™s side identify three ideal replacements

Following yesterdayโ€™s post-match drama after Interโ€™s 2-0 defeat to Brazilian outfits Fluminese in the Round of 16 of the Fifa Club World Club, it seems increasingly inevitable that holding-midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is destined to part ways with Inter.ย

Sky Sportsย reports, viaย FcInter1908, that the comments made in the media by the Argentinian forward Lautaro Martinez and the president of the Biscione Beppe Marotta directed towards Calhanoglu created a complicated rift between both the club and the 31-year-old central play-maker.

Hence, Hakanโ€™s response to the situation through social media further depicts that the former Milan midfielderโ€™s future at Inter is uncertain and that he is destined to depart the club after a four-year stint with the Nerazzurri.ย

Turkish giants Galataseray remain at the window for Calhanoglu as they have reportedly reached a personal agreement with the 31-year-old on a multi-year contract with a salary of โ‚ฌ10m per-season.

However, Inter have made it very clear that they would not sell the Turkish international for a fee less than โ‚ฌ30m within the summer market to any club.ย

In the event that Inter offload Calhanoglu this summer, the Nerazzurri have identified Ederson of Atalanta, Lazioโ€™s Nicolo Rovella, and Parmaโ€™s Adrian Bernabe as ideal candidates to replace the holding midfielder in coach Christian Chivuโ€™s three-man midfield.
