Christopher Nkunku hasn’t quite had a great spell at Serie A side Milan and he is now nearing an exit, with RB Leipzig closing in on a deal.
The striker has been excluded from Ruben Amorim’s project, with the Rossoneri looking to make sales before they make more signings.
Gianluca Di Marzio has now reported that Milan have now given their approval to a move to Leipzig.
Nkunku could actually undergo his medical with the Bundesliga club as early as tomorrow morning.
The Frenchman will join Leipzig on loan for €4 million, with an option to buy set at €28 million.
The deal should suit Nkunku, who was also being pursued by Newcastle United. But a return to Germany can offer him the best possible chance of a revival, which is something he desperately needs after the spell at Milan.
Amorim is said to have had concerns over his physical attributes and this again shows that a move to England may not have suited him as much.
