Serie A side Milan are prepared to move on from several players and one of them is midfielder Samuele Ricci.
The Italian joined from Torino last summer but never quite found favours under Max Allegri, starting very few games. This led to him fading away from the Azzurri setup, despite having done well in his few appearances for the national team.
Ruben Amorim doesn’t see him as a fit for his system and this has attracted interest from Como.
Orazio Accomando has reported that Cesc Fabregas have enquired about the midfielder’s possible signature.
They offered an initial loan with an option to buy but Milan flatly rejected this approach. Despite that, Como remain in the hunt for Ricci and are now pushing for a loan deal which could become an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.
Fabregas is a fan of the midfielder’s profile and this is key behind the push.
Player needs a transfer
Ricci’s stock has declined in the last 12 months and his reputation has fallen, as a result. At Torino and Empoli, he was a reliable deep midfielder, who could beat a press, cover distance and sometimes even feature further forward. He needs the right club to get back to his old form and Como could be perfect for this.
