Liverpoolโ€™s Federico Chiesa tips Curtis Jones for Inter transfer

Serie A side Inter have been pushing for a move for Liverpoolโ€™s Curtis Jones and initial talks have been held as well. A recommendation for the deal has come from Redsโ€™ teammate Federico Chiesa.

Get Italia Football News have been close to the action, covering the discussions between the two clubs over a deal.

La Gazzetta dello Sport spoke to Jonesโ€™ teammate Chiesa about a host of a topics involving his career. He was also asked about Interโ€™s interest in the Englishman.

The winger revealed Jones has asked him about playing in Italy and he also hailed the midfielderโ€™s strengths and overall skillset.

โ€œJones just asked me what life is like in Italy. I told him itโ€™s great and the weather is better than Liverpool, which aside from that is a special place. Jones is really strong technically, Inter are right to think about him.โ€

Chiesa also spoke about Juventusโ€™ interest in Alisson. Appearing optimistic about the goalkeeper, he said: โ€œAlisson? From what I hear, heโ€™s staying in England: then weโ€™ll see. Weโ€™re talking about one of the top five goalkeepers in the world. Heโ€™s a fantastic leader, heโ€™s won everything and he makes the difference on the pitch and in the dressing room. I spent a lot of time with him and Mac Allister.โ€

Deal appears possible

It feels like a move is indeed gaining traction. Jones was keen on a move in January and he continues to reject advances from Liverpool about a renewal. His current deal runs out in 2027, which can help Inter in ironing out a deal.

Inter also have a solid foundation in the deal, which can hand them an advantage over English clubs. The player appears very interested and this can drive a move, with initial talks also indicating that both parties are probably keen on progressing discussions.
