Serie A side Roma have been attempting to make a major attacking signing this summer. They have faced failure with Mason Greenwood but the idea of signing Chelseaโs Alejandro Garnacho remains very much alive.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported that the Giallorossi are strongly interested in the Argentine. He appeals to them more than Nottingham Forestโs Dan Ndoye or even Strasbourgโs Diego Moreira.
They remain attentive to developments around Garnacho and are waiting for Chelsea to make a decision about the player. So far, the Blues havenโt done that, with the player expected to join the London clubโs training camp in the next few days.
If Roma sense an opening, they will make a formal move.

Loan makes sense for everyone
Garnachoโs career has taken a nosedive in the last couple of seasons and he needs a club where he can play at his strengths. Gian Piero Gasperiniโs system brings the most out of players like him but Roma wouldnโt want to take the risk of a permanent move.
That is why they should pursue an initial loan, as it will reduce the risk and make sure they assess the player before making a final decision.
