Bonucci-Caldara swap nears completion – Higuain could join Milan on loan

The latest update in the Bonucci return to Juve story seems as if a deal is nearing completion.

Juventus and Milan have reached an agreement to straight swap Mattia Caldara and Leonardo Bonucci, with each defender valued at €40 million, according to Sky Sport Italia.

In addition, the clubs have agreed for Gonzalo Higuain to join the Rossoneri on a €15 million loan deal with an option to buy.

Final details still need to be sorted out, especially Higuain accepting the move to Milan.

The Argentine striker does not want his salary to decrease and seems hesitant to leave on loan. Higuain would prefer to stay at Juve or join Chelsea in a permanent deal.

Significant progress has been made but there is still work to be done to complete the deals.
