Chelsea are pursuing a deal for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, according to Alfredo Pedulla.
While waiting for Maurizio Sarri to officially be named the new head coach, The Blues are in talks with Juventus for the 23-year-old. Sarri coached Rugani at Empoli for two seasons.
The central defender is being valued between €30-35 million while the clubs are reportedly also working on potential bonuses.
Chelsea are ready to offer Rugani a five-year contract worth €3.5 million a season.
Roma’s Kostas Manolas remains an alternative for Chelsea, who has a €38 million release clause.
