Foggia slapped a 15-point deduction – De Zerbi banned for three months

The FIGC has released a statement, confirming that Foggia will start the 2018/19 Serie B season with a 15-point deduction, after the club was found to be involved in money laundering and tax evasion, between 2015 and 2017.

Roberto De Zerbi, current Sassuolo manager and Foggia manager at the time – from 2014 to 2016 – has also been handed a three month touchline ban.

The move comes after the owner, Fedele Sannella, and former vice-president, Ruggiero Massimo Curci, were accused of bribing the players, coaches and agents with under-the-table payments.
