Juve close in on Aaron Ramsey – the latest

Juventus are becoming increasingly confident of signing Aaron Ramsey on a Bosman transfer this summer as his contract with Arsenal expires, according to Fabrizio Romano and Ed Aarons of The Guardian.

Reports of Juve’s interest in the Welsh midfielder have heated up in recent weeks.

Ramsey joined Arsenal in the summer of 2008 and has made over 250 appearances for the Gunners.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has publicly stated the club’s interest in the 28-year-old.

The Guardian report states that the Bianconeri are offering Ramsey a five-year contract worth €6.5 million a season, while Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested.

Juve did inquire about signing Ramsey in January but Arsenal were reluctant and the midfielder can now negotiate with other clubs as his contract expires within six months.
