Serie A side AS Roma have today announced the arrival of 21-year-old Brazilian central defender Ibañez from Atalanta.
The deal struck between the two sides sees Roma sign him on an 18-month loan with an €8m obligation to buy. Atalanta receive a potential additional €2m in bonuses and have a 10% sell-on percentage fee clause, in the event that the player is sold before July 2024.
The 18-month loan period is projected to cost the Giallorossi €2m in wages and fees.
Ibañez will sign a 4.5 year deal with Roma when the deal becomes permanent.
