Fiorentina’s Vlahovic describes Milan’s Ibrahimovic as his ‘idol’

Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic has stated that he sees ex-Manchester United, Inter, Barcelona and current Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his idol.

Vlahovic is back amongst the goals in Serie A and he will play for La Viola against Inter on Tuesday. But the Serbian gave a long interview to DAZN recently and he talked about a host of issues about his career and Fiorentina themselves.

When asked about his idols, he stated: “If we talk about players, I certainly liked Ibra more for his character and the desire to never give up. He never allowed anyone to command him. When we lost 3-2 [to Milan last season], I took advantage of the fact that maybe he wasn’t very angry to ask him for the shirt. He signed it for me, we took the photo and wrote the message in our language.

“He told me to go on like this and never give up. I’m not very good at speaking when I meet an idol.”

In the interview, Vlahovic also thanked Cesare Prandelli for his trust and he revealed that Franck Ribery is still like an ‘older brother’ for him and he’s very grateful for both of them.
