Inter unwilling to match Barella contract demand

Inter are currently unwilling to meet the demands of Nicolo Barella regarding a new deal for the Euro 2020 winner.

This comes from Corriere dello Sport, who claim that Barella’s agent Alessandro Beltrami has asked for well more than €6 million a season in the new deal, but the Nerazzurri haven’t gone beyond the €4 to €4.5 million per season mark.

The report talks of interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid, with the duo said to be monitoring the situation of the ex-Cagliari star.

While Barella’s deal runs out in the summer of 2024, Inter are trying to extend his deal to fend off any suitors beforehand but the first meeting has brought about a gap in the demands of the two parties.
