Napoli eye a two salary hypothesis for new Lorenzo Insigne contract

Napoli are reportedly eyeing a two salary hypothesis in an attempt to hand Lorenzo Insigne a new deal.

This comes from Il Mattino today, who claim that a meeting between the player’s agent and Aurelio de Laurentiis took place last week. The Napoli president wanted to know if other clubs have made offers or not and he also illustrated that the Partenopei are going to trim down their wage bill to €70-€75 million per season and Insigne won’t be the only player who’d have to take a wage reduction.

The idea of Champions League football is fundamental and that is why the club will work on two salaries and that will depend on Champions League qualification. They would draw up a different proposal if they qualify for the Champions League and a separate one if they don’t.
