Roma’s Mourinho on Venezia’s penalty: “I prefer not to speak.”

Roma boss Jose Mourinho has talked about the penalty that Venezia received in the Giallorossi’s 3-2 loss to Paolo Zanetti’s men.

Venezia went 1-0 up early in the game, but Eldor Shomurodov and Tammy Abraham scored a goal each late in the half to change the game. But Venezia came back from 2-1 down to pick up their third win of the season.

After the game, Mourinho spoke to DAZN about the penalty that Venezia received as a result of Bryan Cristante’s foul. He stated: “I prefer not to speak. The rules are made by those who understand little about football, but they are the powerful ones who decide them.

“There are interpretations and then there is room for doubt: when you get to the end of the season, mistakes are compensated. When there is a build-up week after week, you start to think it’s best to keep quiet. I asked myself why, I gave myself an answer. I do not talk about it.”
