Victor Osimhen set to return to Napoli squad for Bologna match

As reported by Repubblica, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is set to return to the Napoli squad for tomorrow’s match against Bologna, two weeks after the forward’s head injury sustained against Atalanta.

Although Mexican winger Hirving Lozano and Andrea Petagna remain out of action for the time being, Gennaro Gattuso will see his injury list shortened with the return of the Nigerian – ahead of a must-win game for the Partenopei.

Napoli are the Serie A team to have played the most games since the turn of the year, with the effects of a crowded fixture list shown in the Azzurri’s mixed results of late, including a Europa League defeat to Granada and last week’s draw to Sassuolo.

Sunday’s match against the Emilians will also see the return of defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who had seen red at the end of the 2-0 win over Benevento at the end of last month. The Senegalese’s return will be another crucial boost for the Campanians, who look to make it five home wins in a row and recover some ground in the race for a top 4 spot against Siniša Mihajlović’s men.
