Adrien Rabiot unlikely to accept contract renewal offer at Juventus

Adrien Rabiot was close to joining Manchester United in the summer transfer window of 2022. But with a potential deal falling apart due to the English club’s reluctance to meet the demands of the player’s entourage, the French international has seemingly rejuvenated himself at Juventus.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoMercatoWeb), Juventus are pleased with Rabiot’s recent performances and are willing to offer him a contract renewal.

But Rabiot’s mother Veronique is reportedly against the idea of her son extending the term of his contract with the Italian club.

The Frenchman’s current contract at the club will run out in June 2023, meaning that the 27-year-old could leave Juve for free next summer. The midfielder will also be eligible to sign a pre-contract with his potential new employers in January.

Since the start of the 2022/23 season, the former PSG man has displayed some decent performances for Bianconeri. After scoring twice in Juve’s home game against Maccabi Haifa, Rabiot picked up a brace against Empoli in what has been considered a testimony to his outstanding form in recent times.
