Arsenal’s Gabriel could become Juventus’ priority to replace Matthijs de Ligt

There is a possibility that Arsenal defender Gabriel becomes Juventus’ priority option to replace Matthijs de Ligt, who could leave the Old Lady this summer.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported about the situation of the Brazilian defender, claiming that for Massimiliano Allegri, Gabriel’s name is third on the shortlist right now.

But the chase for Kalidou Koulibaly is very stiff and it remains unknown if he would really leave Napoli this summer or not. Another option is Torino’s Bremer but Inter moved early on him and are closer to signing him already.

That is why Gabriel’s profile has risen up on Juve’s shortlist. He would cost €40 million and his salary is affordable for the Bianconeri. Links have emerged with Presnel Kimpembe but his salary isn’t sustainable. Benoit Badiashile’s profile is liked by Juve but Gabriel happens to be well above him in the pecking order, as even Badiashile’s signing would require significant investment right now.
