Bayern Munich interested in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen amidst Arsenal interest

Bayern Munich are also interested in signing Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, with Arsenal also interested in the striker.

Osimhen has been linked with a host of clubs and Gianluca di Marzio recently spoke to Wettfreunde and he talked about a host of potential transfers that can take place this summer.

Di Marzio revealed that Premier League clubs may not be able to sign the striker because of Napoli’s asking price but the Nigerian could be a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski at Bayern.

“It will depend on which team can spend €100 million on him. I think Napoli will sell him for at least €100m because they bought him for €70m.

“Yes, he played and scored, but he was also injured a lot. He first has to play a season of 38 games plus the Champions League at Napoli. I think next year somebody will put their hands on that money.

“I don’t think any Premier League club can invest that money this season. He has to play a year without injuries and with Champions League to prove he’s a Real, Barcelona or PSG player.”

The journalist further stated: “I can imagine that a PL club will knock on his door this season. But I know Aurelio De Laurentiis, I know Napoli’s strategy and you need at least €100 million euros for that. So it will be difficult to sign him.

“Bayern Munich could be the only club interested in Osimhen with the Lewandowski situation.”

In the 2021/22 season, the striker scored 14 Serie A goals and he racked up five assists for the club. He also scored four times in the UEFA Europa League.
