Chelsea and Inter, as previously reported, will meet on Friday to find a resolution on Romelu Lukaku’s future. There could be a mention of other names, including Denzel Dumfries.
According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Denzel Dumfries is Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel’s favourite player at Inter. The German boss rates the wing-back highly and is willing to sign him this summer.Â
But the report understands that Inter have slapped a price tag of around €45 million on the services of the Dutchman in the approaching summer transfer window.Â
Apart from Dumfries, the Blues are reportedly monitoring Stefan de Vrij. Paris Saint-Germain have intensified their efforts to land the Milan Škriniar. As per the latest update on that piece of news, Inter have already rebuffed PSG’s offer of €50million plus players. Inter’s demand stands at €80 million.
Should they get their asking price, Inter could lose a pivotal figure of their central defence. Alessandro Bastoni has been linked with a move away from Inter in recent times. And now, the reports around Stefan de Vrij could result in the Nerazzurri offloading all of their first-choice defenders in one transfer window.
Nevertheless, Friday’s meeting will mainly focus on making progress in Lukaku’s loan deal. There, Chelsea want €10-12 million, while Inter are backing their dreams of getting Lukaku back with an offer of around €5 million plus €2 million in various bonuses.
