Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri is now set to join Premier League side West Ham this summer.
Emerson, who had joined Chelsea from Roma, spent the previous season on loan at Ligue 1 side Lyon but he has returned to the London-based outfit already.
Fabrizio Romano has now reported that the Italian is now set to join the Hammers on a permanent basis, with an agreement reached between West Ham and Chelsea and the left-back has also agreed personal terms with the Premier League outfit.
David Moyes’ side will pay a fee of €13 million plus bonuses of €2 million for the Italian, who won the Euros with Gli Azzurri back in 2021. Emerson is set to undergo a medical with West Ham today and procedure should be completed today itself.
In the 2021/22 season, Emerson had made 29 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon and had scored one goal, racking up two assists as well.
