Fiorentinaโ€™s move for Florian Grillitsch suffers setback

Fiorentinaโ€™s move for former Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch has suffered a setback.

The midfielderโ€™s agent was in Italy some days and the purpose was to meet La Viola and hold talks about a summer move. Firenze Viola have claimed that Grillitschโ€™s father, who has always been a reference point in the midfielderโ€™s career, has played a role in holding the move. The specific reason is not mentioned but a decision by his father has held the move up.

This comes after a meeting between the two parties was held on Monday earlier this week. During that meeting, Fiorentina were blown away by the request of a personal bonus of โ‚ฌ2 million to the Austrian at the time of the signature. This produced question marks over the move.

The midfielderโ€™s contract at Hoffenheim expired at the end of May and he had made his decision clear to the club that he will not sign a new deal.
