Hakim Ziyech pushing for an exit from Chelsea amid Milan’s interest

Having faced initial setbacks in the race for Sven Botman and Renato Sanches, Milan are willing to sign Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea this summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Tutto Mercato Web), Hakim Ziyech is ready to emulate Romelu Lukaku’s strategy to leave Chelsea amid the ongoing summer transfer window. It is understood that the 29-year-old will ask the club to let him leave.

The report claims Lukaku did inform the club of his determination to part ways with Chelsea, and they subsequently sanctioned his sale to Inter. Similarly, Ziyech is hopeful of an exit from the clutches of the Premier League side this summer.

Meanwhile, Ziyech’s entourage has already started the preparation for a potential departure, with Milan being the frontrunner in the pursuit of the talented playmaker.

Furthermore, it is suggested that the Rossoneri are looking to offer the Moroccan an annual salary of €5 million, which he currently earns at Chelsea.

They could instead put a net salary of around €4.5 million per season on the table of the ex-Ajax star. Completing a dry loan will not help Milan exploit the advantages of the Growth Decree. Thus, the Rossoneri management is trying to find a long-term solution.

The report claims that Chelsea and Milan share an excellent relationship. And considering that, they could happily reach an agreement over a potential transfer for Ziyech, who sees Milan as his next destination.
