Inter hold new meeting for Perisic renewal, amidst Man Utd and Bundesliga interest

Inter have now held a new meeting with the entourage of Ivan Perisic in an attempt to open new talks over a renewal.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that the door to Perisic’s renewal is not closed anymore. Inter and Perisic did talk in November and there was a feeling that farewell between the two parties was approaching. Perisic had asked for €6 million per season in the new deal – an upgrade on the €5 million per season that he currently earns.

A new meeting materialised last week and that is a good sign for Inter, as it means that Perisic has not found a club which will satisfy his current requests. Interest from Manchester United and the Bundesliga has not resulted in an offer.

Inter were relaxed in the new meeting and it was one of the first steps taken towards a potential renewal, as no terms were discussed. In two weeks, parties will meet again and as things stand, an agreement is still not easy but there seems to be willingness to discuss. The demands of Perisic’s entourage could yet reduce, as time goes on.
