Inter’s move for Scamacca depends on Martinez sale

Inter’s move for Gianluca Scamacca hinges heavily on the exit of Lautaro Martinez this summer.

Carlo Laudisa has reported today that Sassuolo have raised their demand for Scamacca from €40 million to €45 million plus bonuses. As a result, Inter have also changed the formula for a potential deal and Beppe Marotta is willing to define a loan with obligation to redeem at the end of the season.

But for that to happen, Inter need to wait for the sale of Martinez this summer and that will give them the cash to make a move. Inter and Milan are both willing to hand the player a wage of about €2 million per season – an upgrade on what he earns at Sassuolo.

As Martinez, it seems likely that he will move to Atletico Madrid or to one of the big-money Premier League clubs. Milan are also trying to thrash out a deal for the player and would be willing to offer the likes of Daniel Maldini and Lorenzo Colombo in a move.
