Juventus’ Agnelli involved in ‘heated exchange’ with Nedved

Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli was involved in a heated conversation with club vice president Pavel Nedved following their Coppa Italia final defeat to Inter.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have provided details about what happened in the Juventus locker room after the loss on Wednesday. Allegri was actually sent off from the Juve bench during the tie. Right after the game, Nedved had entered the locker room in an angry mood. The Czech, Allegri and some senior players had taken part in a heated discussion in the dressing room and the conversations focused on bad attitude of some players.

The post-match anger changed the club’s plans as well. The team came back to Turin from Rome earlier than what was scheduled.

As for Allegri, Nedved now has a negative perception of the Italian. It is stated that he has never been a great supporter of Allegri anyway and at night – in the presence of Maurizio Arrivabene and Federico Cherubini, Agnelli and Nedved had quite a heated exchange.

It is stated that Nedved and Fabio Paratici had pushed for Allegri’s exit in 2019. Agnelli meanwhile, is a supporter of the ex-Milan boss. Nedved expected more improvements this season and he is disappointed by the lack of progress.

While Allegri’s future is not in question, there are more doubts about him now than before. There have been frictions between Juventus medical staff in recent weeks as well.
