Juventus move closer to Filip Kostic as he rejects Eintracht Frankfurt’s latest renewal offer

Filip Kostic is destined to be a Juventus player sooner rather than later. But there is no lack in Eintracht Frankfurt’s attempt to keep hold of the left-back.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoMercatoWeb), Filip Kostić has rebuffed Eintracht Frankfurt’s latest contract renewal offer.

It is suggested that Frankfurt recently tried to extend the player’s contract with an option for an immediate sale this summer. They just wanted to protect the value of the player. But the player’s rejection has indicated how determined he is to join the Old Lady this time.

Over the last few months, Juventus have emerged as a frontrunner in the race to sign the Serbian full-back. His current contract with the German side expires in June 2023.

Kostic has always suggested that he doesn’t wish to extend his stay in Germany, which means that the 2022 summer transfer window will provide the Bundesliga side with a final opportunity to earn some cash from the potential sale of the player.

The latest reports understand that Juventus have agreed to personal terms with the 29-year-old and are reluctant to spend more than €15million on the signature of the player, who has one year left in his contract at Frankfurt.
