Juventus make new contact for Roma’s Zaniolo

Juventus have made fresh contact for Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo, amidst interest from the Bianconeri in signing the Italian.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim today that Zaniolo doesn’t just appeal to the Juve board but also to Massimiliano Allegri. He was one of the key targets for Fabio Paratici, before he left for Tottenham last summer.

New contact was made by Juve with the player’s entourage, who have a great relationship with the Old Lady. There is an expectation that an offer could also be made soon by Juve, even though Zaniolo likes the idea of playing in the Premier League and La Liga.

Roma want to focus on extending Zaniolo’s contract next but as Tiago Pinto explained – there is no guarantee of a stay, even if the player signs a new deal. But having him signed a deal will help Roma have greater say financially in a deal with Juve and there is a chance that a release clause could be set.

Relations between the player’s agent and Roma is also good and contact for a new deal could also take place soon.
