Juventus have rejected their chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi.
The Bianconeri are currently struggling to sign another striker, as they are looking to add a back-up option to Dusan Vlahovic to the squad. But a deal for Alvaro Morata remains very complicated and other tracks haven’t fully opened up for them yet.
Carlo Laudisa has reported that Memphis Depay is now considering staying at Barcelona in the event of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s potential move to Chelsea. This is hindering Juve’s plans of signing the Dutchman even though Tottenham have not deepened talks for the ex-Manchester United.
Federico Cherubini, as a result, is now examining alternatives and the profiles of both Icardi and Giovanni Simeone were offered to the Bianconeri. But Max Allegri does not want the Argentines at the club as they are not of particular interest. Arkadiusz Milik’s profile though, is a bit intriguing.
The key for Juve is to sign a striker who is versatile enough to play out wide and that is why the profiles of both Depay and Morata were of keen interest. Another name is Anthony Martial but he looks to be close to staying at Manchester United.
